MDA is a non-propfit health agency dedicated finding a cure for neuromuscular diseases. The Association supports research initiatives and sponsors hospital-affiliated clinics throughout the country, in addition to an array of other support programs and services. Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America

MGFA is a national volunteer health agency committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis. The Foundation provides information, support programs, and advocacy to those affected by the disease, and there are over 20 chapters located across the US.

Myasthenia Gravis Patient Registry

The Myasthenia Gravis Patient Registry, funded by MGFA, is available for patient enrollment. The registry was developed for the purpose of research, treatment and patient information based on confidential patient input. It provides a system for researchers to gauge the potential for recruiting patients for clinical trials and communicating with them in a manner that respects their privacy. The registry also can be used to provide education about MG to patients, caregivers, non-expert health care providers and funding sources. The registry is managed by the MGFA and the Coordinating Center of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. For enrollment instructions go to www.myasthenia.org.

"My MG" mobile application

The MGFA has developed a mobile application that gives people with myasthenia a new tool to track their MG. The "My MG" app is a software application designed to run on Smartphones, tablet computers and other mobile devices for use in daily life. Download the app here: http://mymg.myasthenia.org/home.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke

NINDS is a branch of the NIH, the national medical research agency. The mission of NINDS is to reduce the burden of neurological disease through supporting research and disseminating information to health care professionals and the general public.
